Biblical scholars commonly interpret "Sodom and Gomorrah" as a tale about 'sexual perversions.'  After reading the story myself, I found the central theme to be about hospitality; how we treat strangers when they enter our communities.  The sodom and gomorrah show places the story in modern-day New Mexico; following a hearty hispanic family, two 'outsider' angels, and the prejudiced community they find themselves in.
